TURKMEN FREESTYLE WRESTLERS WON GOLD AND SILVER AT THE INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT IN ROMANIA
Turkmen freestyle wrestlers won gold and silver medals at the international tournament Constantin Alexandru & Ioan W. Popovici held in Romania among cadets (not older than 17 years old).
Athletes from 15 countries compete for awards.
Gold in our team was won by Alp Arslan Begenjov. A student of the 9th grade of the Boarding School for the preparation of young Olympians achieved this success in the weight category up to 65 kg. Silver was awarded in weight up to 55 kg to a 10th grade student of the Ashgabat secondary school No. 7 Ismail Mukhammedov.
Both medalists train under the guidance of the head coach of the national cadet team of Turkmenistan, silver medalist of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Batyr Orazgylyjov.
